A 49-year-old was charged with theft under $5,000. The full text of the release follows:
On May 28, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 49-year-old Wendell McKay with theft under $5,000.
Around 5:30 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of Wallace Terrace after receiving information a man was lying under a vehicle wearing a head lamp. Upon arrival, officers observed the accused under a truck with a reciprocating saw, and a catalytic converter in hand.
He was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on July 25, 2022.
