Man arrested over $30K in transactions on employers credit card: police

The investigation began in May 2023 and the transactions were alleged to have happened between March 2021 and April 2023

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's Fraud Unit has charged a 52-year-old with making fraudulent charges on a work credit card.

Police say the accused made approximately $30,000 in fraudulent transactions between March 2021 and April 2023 on a credit card that belonged to their employers.

The investigation began on May 15, 2023 and the accused was arrested on Monday.

As a result, Kevin Duchesne has been charged with fraud over $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
