Man allegedly drives erratically. Charged with impaired driving

On Nov. 22, 2016 city police allegedly observed a male in the area of Old Goulais Bay Road driving erratically. 

As a result a traffic stop was initiated and officers observed noticeable signs of impairment. Subsequently the male failed a roadside test and was arrested for consuming over the legal limit. 

The male was transported to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service where further tests were conducted. It is alleged that the accused John Charles Elwgren age 56 failed the breath test.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on December 19, 2016 at 9 a.m.
