Man accused of stealing motorcycle tried to steal one the day before, police say

Police also accuse the 19-year-old Sault man of fleeing from officers on the stolen bike

Police say a man accused of trying to steal a motorcycle on Monday was apprehended riding a stolen bike on Tuesday.

The first incident was reported on June 15, when Sault police said in a news release that a 19-year-old man attempted to steal a motorcycle from storage in the 400 block of Northern Avenue.

The following day, June 16, police say the accused stole a motorcycle from the 400 block of Northern Avenue, and was allegedly fleeing from officers on the stolen bike.

He has also been accused in a separate incident of stealing a bicycle from a Blake Street residence.

Reno White was charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property, theft under $5,000, and breach of probation in relation to the first incident and  break and enter, possession of stolen property, two counts of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation in the second incident. He has been held for bail court.
