Male charged with flight from police

On the 28th of April 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 33-year-old Brian Wing, of Echo Bay, for several driving offences.

Just before noon on Apr. 28, officers observed a vehicle in the area of John Street and Edinburgh Street with unauthorized licence plates. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver fled the area. The vehicle was located a short distance away where it had collided with a parked vehicle at the corner of St. James Street and Cathcart Street. It was found that the [alleged] driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Brian Wing, was also a disqualified driver and was bound by a probation order with conditions that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused was arrested and charged with:

  • One count of flight from police,
  • One count of driving while disqualified,
  • One count of breach of probation, and;
  • One count of dangerous operation of motor vehicle.

He was arrested and held for wash court.
