SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Apr. 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 41-year-old Ronald Milne of London Street for an impaired driving related offence.

At approximately 2:48 a.m. officers received a call about a possible impaired driver in the area of Wellington Street West and John Street. Officers located the vehicle on London Street and initiated a traffic stop.

Officers developed grounds to believe that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and demanded that he provide a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device. The accused registered a fail on that device and was taken into custody.

He was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit and he will appear in court on May 29, 2017.
