Police and Crime Stoppers continue to search for the suspect

An incident from late-October in which an unknown man spray painted a swastika with the words "white power" in a stairwell of a local apartment complex remains under investigation.

Following is a full release from Crime Stoppers on the incident and the search for the suspect:

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of mischief.

On Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at approximately 11:20 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered an apartment complex in the 0 to 100 block of Chapple Avenue. The suspect proceeded to spray paint several security cameras. The suspect also spray-painted a swastika and the words "white power" in the stairwell.
