Police had their weapons drawn earlier this evening just outside the Women in Crisis building following an incident apparently involving a woman who appeared to be in distress.
Four police cruisers and an emergency services unit arrived to the scene near the corner of Pilgrim Street and Oakland Avenue around 8 p.m.
Witnesses who live nearby say police had their weapons drawn for a short time.
