A 35-year-old is facing a weapon charge following an incident outside of a Great Northern Road business on Tuesday morning.
Around 10 a.m., a 911 call reported an individual outside of a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road who had a knife and was behaving and yelling erratically.
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to the scene and the individual was apprehended.
Police say that a search of the individual found them to be in possession of two knives.
Police did not release the name of the accused.
The accused was arrested and has been charged with:
- possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
