A young person was arrested for impaired after an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie Police say.

Police say they responded to a call around 12:18 a.m. on Saturday of a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Second Line W. at Allen’s Side Road.

When they arrived, police found the accused standing next to the vehicle and allegedly smelt alcohol on his breath after speaking to him.

He was arrested and later provided two breath samples, both of which were failed.

As a result, Mitchell Crosato, 18, was arrested and charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs and impaired driving – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19
