Hot beverage attack injures employee at local business

Sault Police say officers caught up with a suspect wanted for throwing a hot beverage at one employee of a Second Line West business before pushing and scratching a second employee. 

The incident occurred Nov. 10, at an unnamed business in the 200 block of Second Line West. The suspect had left the business prior to officers arriving. Police say the two employees suffered minor physical injuries. 

Police had a warrant for the accused and arrested her on Sunday at her residence.

Melinda Robinson, 30, is charged with assault with a weapon and assault. She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22.
