On the 20th of September police were called to the area of Boston Ave for an intoxicated male. Further investigation revealed this male [allegedly] assaulted a female that was unknown to him by punching her several times and pushing her into a wall. 36-year-old Joe Gingras of no fixed abode is charged with assault and is scheduled to appear in bail court on September 23.

On the 20th of September police were called to a residence at 55 Salisbury Ave. where police received a complaint of a support worker being assaulted by a resident. Investigation resulted in Rebecca Fleming, age 21, being charged with one count of assault and breach of probation as well. She is scheduled to appear in bail court on September 23.
 
28-year-old Anthony Link of no fixed address was arrested on September 19 in Bruce Mines by OPP officers after they learned Mr. Link was wanted by Sault Ste Marie City Police on an outstanding warrant for Breaching conditions of his recognizance. Once back in the Soo, Link was also charged with another breach by not residing at his residence. He will be in Bail Court later this morning.

A 40-year-old male was arrested by City Police officers Thursday night after responding to a domestic related incident. Investigation revealed that the male assaulted his common law spouse by dragging her along the ground, hitting her with a belt and dragging her into his apartment and not letting her go. He was also on several conditions from a probation order including not to molest, harass or interfere with the victim. He will be in Bail Court later this morning.

Another domestic incident early this morning resulted in assault causing bodily harm charges laid on a 43-year-old male. It is alleged he punched and elbowed the female victim in the nose and face. She was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries and later released. The accused was also on a Probation order and charged with the condition of failing to keep the peace and be good. He also will be appearing in Bail Court this morning.

Break and Enters

A break in was reported Park St. A PlayStation 3, video games and a small amount of cash were reported taken.
