DOMESTIC ASSAULT Shortly before 3:00 this morning city police arrested a 25-year-old male after receiving a complaint of a domestic assault.

Shortly before 3:00 this morning city police arrested a 25-year-old male after receiving a complaint of a domestic assault. It is alleged that the male grabbed his common law girlfriend her by the face and biting her under the right eye.

When police responded, he gave a false name to the officers. He will appear in bail court this morning after being charged with one count of assault and one count of impersonation.


POSSESSING STOLEN PROPERTY
39-year-old Ron Masse of 25-569 Queen Street West was arrested by patrol officers shortly after midnight. Mr. Masse was queried by officers and it was learned that there was a committal warrant for him as his surety had been revoked.

When officers ran the serial number of the bicycle Mr. Masse was riding they found that the Raleigh mountain bike had been reported stolen in June of 2003. Mr. Masse was arrested and will appear in bail court. He has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property.


FEMALES FIGHTING AT BAR
City Police arrested 3 females shortly after midnight after another female was assaulted while at the Knight’s Inn (formerly the Canadian Motor Hotel).

It is alleged that the 3 accused persons repeatedly kicked the victim in the face which resulted in the victim receiving a split lip and a bruised face.

Charged with assault causing bodily harm are: 21-year old Crystal Tegosh of 37 Nebenegoshing St, 24-year old Christy Syrette of 8 August St, and 24-year old Melanie Syrette of 10 Pontiac St. They will all appear in court on November 8th.


HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT
Yesterday afternoon around 1:30, city police were to North Street and Second Line East for an accident with injuries.

A car being operated by 44-year-old Diane Guerin of Van Therese, Ontario was stopped on North Street waiting to turn eastbound onto Second Line East.

A van being operated by 52-year old Leslie Gagnon of 602 MacDonald Avenue was stopped behind the Guerin vehicle.

An unknown vehicle travelling northbound on North Street struck the Gagnon van causing it to run into the back of the Guerin car. This unknown vehicle then left the scene.

Two passengers in the Gagnon vehicle received injuries but did not require any medical treatment.
