City Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at 7:46 am this morning at the North Town Fuels located at 23 Great Northern:

At 7:46 am this morning city police were called to a robbery at the North Town Fuels located at 23 Great Northern Road. Two males entered the business and robbed it. The first male described as a darker skinned male, with a heavy build, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a red hoody, pushed the attendant and advised it was a robbery. The second male described as having lighter skin, thinner build and also around 6 feet tall, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer. The two suspects fled in a red vehicle in a southbound direction on Great Northern Road. The attendant was not physically injured. There was no weapon produced or threat of any weapon. Officers searched the area with negative results.

Investigations Services are continuing the investigation at this time.

The following two persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 12th of October at 1:10 am at his centrally located residence and charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 12th of October at around 12:30 am the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend at their residence by slapping her in the face numerous times. When police responded to the complaint, the accused was found to be intoxicated. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions not to molest, harass, or annoy the victim, to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not to be at the victim’s residence when under the influence of alcohol. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention.

2) A 48 year-old female was arrested at her east end residence on the 11th of October at 8:45 pm and charged with four counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 11th of October just before 8 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with her common-law boyfriend. Police attended and found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol and in an intoxicated state. At the time the accused was on probation with conditions not to consume any alcohol, not to associate with her common-law boyfriend while under the influence of alcohol, not to molest, harass or annoy him and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Assault Charges

A 41 year-old male was arrested at his downtown residence on the 11th of October at 8:20 pm and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 31st of August between the hours of 8:30 pm and midnight the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by slapping her in the face and choking her. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 14th of November.

Youth Charged with Assault

A 13 year-old male youth was arrested on the 11th of October at 4 pm at a local elementary school and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 11th of October at around 3:30 pm the accused pushed and threw a chair at a staff member at the school. The staff member was not struck by the chair and no injuries were reported. The accused is to appear in court on the 20th of November.

One Break & Enter

The only break and enter reported yesterday was to a garage on Henry Street. It occurred sometime between the 10th of October after 3:30 pm and 9:30 am on the 11th. Nothing was reported taken.

There were three reports of mischief taken yesterday:

1) A vehicle that was parked at the Credit Union on Second Line West on the 11th of October had the driver’s side completely scratched.

2) A sun light and pole in the yard of a residence on Wilks Street were damaged sometime overnight on the 10th – 11th of October.

3) Branches were broken off a front yard tree and thrown at a residence located on Cathcart Street.
