On May 8, 2015 at 2:30 a.m., Sault Ste Marie city police received information of a male in the downtown area smashing windows of local businesses. Officers responded to the Queenstown area and found several stores and offices with their windows smashed. The accused, 23-year-old Alzeer Abdullah of Terry Fox Place was located in the area by police and arrested. The accused has been charged with 6 counts of mischief under $5,000 and will appear in court on June 8.
On May 7, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., detectives with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male on domestic related charges. It’s alleged that the accused attended a residence known to the victim and entered without permission. In addition, it alleged that between September 1, 2014 and May 6, 2015 the accused breached the terms of his probation orders. He faces charges of unlawfully in a dwelling, and 6 counts of Breach of Probation. He will be appearing in court on May 8, 2015 at 10 a.m.
On May 7, 2015 at 8:30 p.m., officers arrested 47-year-old Albert Morin of Queen Street East for one count of assault causing bodily harm. It’s alleged that the accused punched the victim causing injury to his face. He will be appearing in court on June 8, 2015.
On May 8, 2015 at 12:50 a.m., city police arrested 19-year-old Braiden Eshkakogan of Bawahting Mikun Street, Rankin Reserve. It’s alleged that the accused damaged a shed door at a residence on Maple Street. He was charged with Mischief to Property under $5,000 and Breach of Probation. He will be appearing in court on June 8, 2015.
