COURTHOUSE CANTEEN HIT 35 year-old Vincent Milosevich of 704 MacKenzie Street was arrested and charged yesterday at the Sault District court house with theft under $5000.00.

35 year-old Vincent Milosevich of 704 MacKenzie Street was arrested and charged yesterday at the Sault District court house with theft under $5000.00. Milosevich is alleged to have taken money from a moneybag located in the canteen at the courthouse. The thefts that are believed to have happened between May 11th and May 20th resulted in approximately $174 being taken. Mr. Milosevich will appear in court on June 21st.

MAKES OFF WITH MAKEUP

23 year-old Stephanie Moonias and 18 year-old Laurie Troutlake both of 280 Goulais Avenue were arrested by store security at Zellers in the Station Mall. The accused women are alleged to have entered the store and removed $12.21 worth of makeup from the shelf. They were apprehended by store security and turned over to city police. Both women are scheduled to appear in court on June 21st.

TODAY’S DOMESTIC DISPUTES

A domestic dispute at 12:30 this morning resulted in a 40 year-old woman being arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The accused woman and the victim were in their downtown apartment when the accused is alleged to have struck the victim in the forehead with a beer bottle. The victim required medical treatment for a cut to the forehead. The woman will appear in court on June 28th.

At 3:15 this morning a 40 year-old woman was arrested for assault as a result of a domestic dispute at a downtown residence. The woman is alleged to have slapped her companion twice in the head area during their disagreement. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on June 28th.

YOUNG OFFENDER DOESN’T UNDERSTAND

A young offender will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested and charged at 4:25 this morning with obstructing police and 4 counts of breach of an undertaking. The accused was located at a downtown residence where a false name was given to the attending officers. It was also learned by the officers that the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good, abstain from the consumption of alcohol, abide by a curfew of 9pm-7am and to reside at a residence as directed by the probation officer. All conditions were breached by the youth.

B&E’S

A couple of break-ins were reported yesterday morning. The first was in the 100 block of Melville Road were the residents garage was entered. Thieves are reported to have taken several tools including an air compressor, spray gun, drills and hand tools.

Beauty Complete, located at 113 March Street also reported a break-in from over night. The front door received some damage in the break-in but it appeared at report time that nothing had been taken from the business
