Bail Court Today 1) Two males will appear in bail court today charged with 2 counts of robbery each. It is alleged that on the 05 March 2009 at approx. 12:37 pm the victim was approached on St.
Bail Court Today

1) Two males will appear in bail court today charged with 2 counts of robbery each. It is alleged that on the 05 March 2009 at approx. 12:37 pm the victim was approached on St. Andrews Terrace by these two males, one was brandishing a large knife. They demanded the victim turn over everything that he had, the victim dropped his backpack and fled. The accused left with the backpack. The victim notified police. This same day at approx.3:19 pm the accused approached another male and demanding the victims property and then fled. The victim and witnesses followed the accused and notified police. Police attended at a residence on Beverly St. and arrested the culprits. Daniel John Peunish, age 19 of, 222 Albert St. east will appear in bail court today along with a 16 year old male co-accused.

2) A 66 year old man will appear in bail court today charged with 4 counts of indecent assault, and 1 count of attempted rape. These incidents are alleged to have occurred in the mid 1970’s to the early 1980’s. The accused and victim were known to each other.

3) Reba Whitney Stevens age 21, of 394 Frontenac St. was arrested and charged with assault. It is alleged that she assaulted another female on the 16th of February 2009 by punching the victim and pulling her hair. This is said to have happened on Albert St. near Huron. The accused will make an appearance in court on the 20th of April 2009 at 09:00 am.

Break and Enter

City Police are investigating a break, enter and theft from the Tool Town Store on Trunk Road. Entry was gained to the building and the safe removed. The investigation is continuing.

Theft

City Police took another complaint of a stolen wallet from an office in the 300 block of Bay St.

Mischief

A motor vehicle parked on Ferguson Ave. had its tires, all four slashed sometime yesterday.

We have received a complaint from the MS Society about someone canvassing door to door. They advise that they are not doing any door to door campaigns and should notify police if approached buy anyone asking for donations.
