Three males to appear in bail court Yesterday evening city police arrested a 47-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused man assaulted his girlfriend by slapping her in the face.

Yesterday evening city police arrested a 47-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused man assaulted his girlfriend by slapping her in the face. The victim did not require medical attention.

A 23-year-old male was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that between February 27th and March 4th the accused contacted the victim, his ex-girlfriend, by sending her text messages. At the time of these offences the accused was on conditions to not communicate with the victim.

Yesterday morning city police arrested a 45-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault causing bodily harm, one count of uttering a threat, one count of criminal harassment and five counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on December 25th 2009 the accused punched the victim several times in the face causing bruising and nerve damage to the victim. It is further alleged that between September 30th and March 4th the accused threatened, harassed and continued to contact the victim. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to not communicate, molest, harass or annoy the victim.

Male arrested for failing to appear for court

Yesterday morning 39-year-old Frank Schmitz, of 65 Biggings Ave attended at the city police station and turned himself in on a warrant for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that Mr. Schmitz failed to appear for court on January 11th, 2010. Mr. Schmitz is to appear in court on April 12th.

Male arrested on a warrant

Yesterday evening city police arrested Scott Donofrio, age 19, of 715 Douglas St. on a warrant for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that Mr. Donofrio failed to appear for court on February 8th 2010. Mr. Donofrio will be appearing in court on April 12th.

Male arrested for theft under and possession of stolen property

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested 19-year-old Marc Penno, of 479 John St. and charged him with two counts of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Wal-Mart Store, 446 Great Northern Rd. yesterday afternoon and stole a quantity of electronic items. The accused was arrested outside the store by store security and turned over to police. It is further alleged that when the accused was arrested electronic merchandise stolen from the Future Shop, 548 Great Northern Rd was located on his person. The accused will be appearing in court on April 12th.was located on his person.

Male arrested for theft under and possession of stolen property

Yesterday afternoon city police attended at the Wal-Mart Store, 446 Great Northern Rd and arrested 23-year-old Srisenthoora Subramaniam, of 73 Taracove Rd. NE, Calgary Alberta. It is alleged that the accused stole merchandise, valued at $ 15.72 from the hardware department. The accused was apprehended outside the store by store security and turned over to city police. Mr. Subramaniam is to appear in court on April 12th.

Theft

Vehicles parked in the following locations were entered and items stolen:
The 600 block of Queen St. E. – window broken and CDs stolen.
The 100 block of Cameron Ave – small amount of cash and identification was stolen.
The 100 block of McNabb St. – small amount of cash was stolen.

Mischief
A window was broken at the Catalina Motel – located at 259 Great Northern Rd.
Two vehicles belonging to the MNR were damaged in the parking lot of 64 Church St.
