DOMESTIC DISPUTE
A domestic dispute last night resulted in a 57-year-old man being charged with assault and impaired driving. While on route to an east end residence it is reported that the man pushed the victim out of the vehicle. The victim was then taken home by a cab that was followed by the accused man. The argument then continued at the residence until police arrived and arrested the man. No injuries were reported and an April 5th court date has been set.
TRAFFIC REQUEST
The Traffic section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is asking that pedestrians use the sidewalks whenever possible. With the mild weather and sloppy conditions pedestrians are found to be using the roadways on a regular basis.
If pedestrians have to use the paved portion of the roadway they are asked to move off to the side to allow vehicular traffic to pass by. Both pedestrians and drivers in these situations should use caution.
