PEDESTRIAN CHARGED
City Police investigated a motor vehicle collision on Tuesday March 9th involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. In the incident a pedestrian was crossing McNabb St. when a car struck her.
As a result of the incident the 14-year-old pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Subsequent investigation has led to charges being laid against the pedestrian. The Pedestrian has been charged with: “Pedestrian Fail to Yield Right of Way.”
14-YEAR-OLD CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
Yesterday at approx. 4:30 pm, City Police were called to investigated an injury to an 8-year-old girl. As a result of investigations officers charged a 14-year-old male with Assault with a Weapon.
The accused was shooting his pellet air rifle from his residence when one of the pellets struck the victim in the leg. The victim did not require hospital attention for the injury. The accused will be appearing in court on April 27 at 9:30 am.
CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED
At approx. 8:48 pm last night City Police were called to Wellington St.E. in regards to a motor vehicle collision. In the incident, an eastbound transport truck, which was stopped near 1031 Wellington E., was struck in the rear end by a vehicle driven by William Morin.
Upon speaking to Mr. Morin, officers determined that he had been drinking. As a result William Morin, age 29, of 131 Pardee Ave., was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs. He will be appearing in court on April 19.
POLICE CALLED TO DISTURBANCE
At approximately 11:50 pm yesterday, City Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Boston Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers found a male, in an intoxicated condition, was refusing to leave the area of a residence.
As he was being escorted away by the police, he spit on one of the officers. This resulted in him being arrested and charged with Assaulting Police. Raymond Couture, age 29, of 120 Andrew St. will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 am.
