Youth Charged with Break & Enter Yesterday morning a 14-year-old male was arrested by city police and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of theft over $ 5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Yesterday morning a 14-year-old male was arrested by city police and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of theft over $ 5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the youth attended at River City Motor Sports between June 25th and 26th and broke into the premises. While there the accused stole a 2002 Polaris all terrain vehicle valued at over $ 11,000. The accused will be appearing in bail court today.

Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

At approx. 11:45 am yesterday 50-year-old Thomas White attended at the Sault Ste Marie Police station and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that the accused failed to attend for court on June 18th. Thomas White, age 50, of 255 Brown St. will be appearing in court on July 30.

Youth Charged with Break & Enter, Possession & Breach

Yesterday afternoon officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a16-year-old male and charged him with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of stolen property one count of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused broke into Korah Collegiate between June 27th and 28th stole two computer monitors and was in possession of those two stolen monitors. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation. The accused will be appearing in bail court today.

Trespassing at the Station Mall

Yesterday evening at approx. 8:30 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Station Mall regarding a trespasser. Upon arrival the officers discovered that the accused, Elizabeth Nevitt, attended at the mall while on a trespass notice to stay away. It is further alleged that when the accused was arrested by security she kicked and broke two ceramic pots and punched a hole in a wall. As the accused was being arrested by the city police she resisted police. Elizabeth Nevitt, age 28, of 14 Blucher St is charged with one count of resist arrest, two counts of mischief under $ 5,000 and one count of trespass to property. She will be appearing in court on July 30.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service was called to investigate one break and enter yesterday.

St. Paul School located at 78 Dablon St was broken into and a lap top computer was stolen. In breaking into the school the culprit(s) caused approx. $ 500. in damage.

Mischief

Yesterday morning police were called to the 800 block of Fourth Line E. regarding a mischief. A mailbox at that residence appeared to have been struck by a baseball bat.

City police received five reports of thefts from vehicles yesterday.

Vehicles parked in the following locations were entered:

1. the 200 block of Brown St - personal papers were stolen.
2. the 200 block of John St. - car stereo and speakers stolen.
3. the 400 block of Pim St. - wallet was taken.
4. the 600 block of MacDonald - wallet stolen.
5. Railroad Ave. - purse stolen.
