A 47-year-old male was arrested by city police officers overnight as a result of a domestic incident. It is alleged the male attended to the east end address of his ex-common law partner and began arguing with her. The male was on conditions not to be at her place of residence, not to have any contact with her and not to molest, harass or annoy her. He then threatened to damage her vehicle, smash a rear patio window and enter the residence unlawfully, continuing to damage her property once inside. The accused was subsequently charged with 4 counts of breaching his probation order, threatening damage to property, mischief and break and enter. He will be appearing in bail court later this morning.
City police attended to a single motor vehicle collision last night at the intersections of Wellington and East Street where a vehicle had come into contact with the guard rail. The investigation revealed that a lone male occupant was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and he sustained no serious injuries. As a result, 24-year-old Alex Causley of Sage Street in Garden River was charged with impaired operation and consume over the legal limit. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on July 28.
A 19-year-old female will be appearing in Provincial Court on July 30 as a result of a domestic related assault from overnight. It is alleged she was arguing with her boyfriend in an east end apartment when she assaulted him by punching him in the nose.
