One break and enter was reported in the 900 block of North Street. In this incident, a garage was entered and several items were stolen.

Yesterday morning at about 7:30 a.m., an unknown male was seen looking into vehicles in the 100 block of Rossmore Road. Residents scared his off. He was last seen riding away on a bicycle. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey pants.


MISCHIEF COMPLAINTS
Three incidents mischief were reported overnight. The first was to a vehicle in the 100 block of River Road, the second was to a residence in the 100 block of MacMurray Avenue where vandals tore down the eaves trough. The third complaint of mischief was a report of youths throwing eggs at passing vehicles in the 800 block of Peoples Road.


THEFTS FROM VEHICLES
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service wants to once again remind you not to leave valuables in your vehicle. There were two reports of purses being stolen from cars yesterday. One was in the 100 block of Huron Street and the other was in the 100 block of Fourth Line East.

At approx. 1:30 this morning, City Police were called to an address in the 100 block of MacMurray Avenue in regards to a man caught stealing from a vehicle.

Prior to the arrival of the police, the suspect escaped from the custody of the citizen holding him. Police arrested the suspect a short time later. Charged with Escape Lawful Custody, Attempt Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Break-In Instruments, and two counts of Failing to Comply with Conditions is: Corey Michael Becanic, age 18 of 157 Albert Street East. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 1:30 p.m.
