Patrol officers were called to a break and enter yesterday at 8:30 a.m. General Insurance at 118 Brock Street was entered when the front window was broken. Once inside, the thieves accessed the business computer system before leaving the building. The investigation continues.

KIDS TRY TO CASH STOLEN CHEQUE
On or between July 18 and July 25, three young offenders, ages 15 to 17, tried to cash a stolen $500 cheque at the CIBC on Queen Street. The cheque has been stolen during a break and enter to a residence in Thessalon and the endorsement signature was forged.

The youths then tried to impersonate the third party to whom the cheque was payable. Police were called to the bank and the young offenders were arrested at noon yesterday. The police fraud unit has charged them with possession of stolen property, uttering forged documents, empty envelope fraud, accessories to indictable offences and impersonation. They are scheduled to appear in court at the end of August.
