Vehicles were entered overnight in the 50s block of Wellington St. East. Fishing gear and tools were stolen.

Yesterday morning city police took a report of a robbery. On July 24 around 7 a.m., a female was walking in the area of Huron Street when she was approached by two young males who grabbed her purse and took off with it. The victim was not injured in the incident.

One male was described as being 6 feet tall, wearing a blue t-shirt, a New York Yankees ball cap and had a skull tattoo on his arm. The second male was described at being 6 feet tall, with a black t-shirt. Both males were described as being First Nations. Anyone who has any information or witnessed the robbery is asked to contact city police at 705-949-6300.

On the 25th of July, 2014 at 1 a.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a domestic assault complaint. Officers learned that a female had been assaulted by her male boyfriend. The assault consisted of him grabbing her and pushing her to the ground. The victim did not require any medical attention. The accused has been charged with assault and will appear in bail court on the July 25.
