TRUCK ROLLS OVER ON BAY STREET
Yesterday, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a transport East bound on Bay St. near the Bush Plane Museum attempted to negotiate the left turn from Bay St. on to lower Pim St. The driver lost control, skidded and caused the load to trip and roll over damaging the guardrail.
The load, bound for Quebec, was a by-product of the pulp and paper industry used to keep the dust down on gravel roads. It is non-toxic and non-corrosive. The investigation determined the cause of the collision is result of driver inexperience, and not observing the 30 km per hour advisory for this sharp curve.
