Male Arrested for Theft from Vehicle at Canadian Customs
At approximately 4:21 pm yesterday, officers with Sault Ste Marie Police Service were dispatched to Canadian Customs on Huron Street regarding a male in custody for going through vehicles in the staff parking lot. It is alleged that Customs officers observed the male going through a staff member’s vehicle in the parking lot, took him into custody and notified police to attend. Officers attended and arrested the male.

At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of some loose change that he had stolen from one of the vehicles and a check revealed that he was on probation with conditions that he keep the peace and be of good behavior. As a result, 27 year-old Raymond Gregoire of 217 Beverley Street (main) was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Males Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property
On the 24th of February at approximately 5:25 am officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested two males on Korah Road after allegedly finding them in possession of stolen licence plates on their vehicle on Korah Road. Charged with one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and be good was the driver, 25 year-old Chico Rubiano of #6-1001 Peoples Road. He is to attend in court on the 28th of March.

The second male occupant, 25 year-old Shaun Wilson of #6-676 Second Line West was charged with one count of possession of stolen property. He is to attend in bail court this morning.

Two Persons Arrested On Outstanding Drug-Related Warrants
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team arrested two persons on outstanding warrants for drug related charges yesterday afternoon after they turned themselves in at the police station. Brent Leclair, age 45 and Laurie Leclair, age 43, both of 147 Old Goulais Bay Road, were charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug and substance.

It is alleged that on the 16th of February 2011, a drug search warrant was executed at their residence and officers located 12 percocet pills (Oxycodone) and 518 grams of cannabis marijuana. They are to appear in court on the 28th of March.

Theft
On the 24th of February at 11:15 am at Zellers in the Station Mall, officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 54 year-old Caleb Perrault of 340 Hwy 17E Garden River Ontario and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that he attended at the store yesterday and stole a bottle of mouthwash. He is to appear in court on the 28th of March.

Property Crimes
• Vehicles were entered on Greenview Lane and Kent Avenue. Two wallets were reported stolen.
• A residence was entered yesterday morning at 11:20 am while the homeowner was out shoveling the driveway. A red leather purse was reported stolen.
