13 Motor Vehicle Collisions
City Police would like to remind motorists to adjust their driving habits accordingly. Last evening 13 motor vehicle collisions were investigated and slippery road conditions played a role in most of them. By adjusting your driving habits to the wintry conditions you can help avoid unnecessary accidents.
Robbery At Savoy's
Yesterday afternoon just before 3 pm a lone male entered Savoy’s Jewelers in the Station Mall at 293 Bay Street. The male entered the store carrying a bag asking to look at some watches and threatening the employees with a hammer he advised he had in the bag.
The male left the store with an undisclosed amount of watches and headed towards the north exit. Individuals in the mall and mall security apprehended the male. The male was held until police arrived.
29-year-old Jeremy Little of 305 Huron Street has been charged with 1 count of Theft Under $5000.00, 1 count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm, 1 count of Breach of a Release Document and 5 counts of Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking.
The accused had an outstanding warrant at the time of his arrest. Jeremy Little is to appear in Bail Court this morning.

23 Year Old Charged With Assault
A 23-year-old male has been charged after assaulting his common law wife. It is alleged that at approximately 1:30 yesterday afternoon the male grabbed the victim by the arm and threw her onto a bed. The male further assaulted the female by grabbing her again and pushing her to the ground. Police were called and the male was arrested a short time later at a residence close by. The Assaults took place in the east end on the city. The accused has been charged with 1 count of assault and will appear in court today.
