Arrest:
On Feb. 15th at approximately 3:30 pm Patrol Officers located a 52 year old wanted for Breaching his Probation. The male was on a probation order from a previous domestic violence conviction not to communicate or associate with the female victim from the initial incident. Officers located the male in the downtown core and arrested and charged the accused with four counts of Breach of Probation. While arresting the male Police located a small amount of marijuana on the accused. He faces the additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The male will appear in Wash Court on Feb. 17th.
Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Dumpster Fire
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently seeking the public’s assistance regarding a dumpster fire that was set last evening around 10:00 p.m. in the East Courthouse parking lot. A male suspect, believed to be involved, was observed running from the area East on Albert Street. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6” tall with a medium build wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information regarding this fire is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service or Crimestoppers.

A 41 year old male turned himself in to Sault Ste. Marie Police on an outstanding warrant relating to a domestic issue. The male is alleged to have opened a false Twitter account in the name of his ex-girlfriend and posted photos of her along with Tweets purportedly from her. As a result of the investigation, the male was charged with Criminal Harassment and Personation. He will be appearing in Bail Court on February 15, 2013.

Patricia Pollard, age 28, of 47 North Eden St., was arrested on February 14, 2013 and charged with four counts of Theft under $5000. It is alleged that Pollard stole numerous items from her employer between January 1 and February 13, 2013. She will be appearing in court on March 25, 2013.

A 16 year old female will be appearing in Bail Court due to a domestic situation in the downtown area on February 14, 2013. Police located the female near Albert St. E. and Blucher St. It is alleged that she assaulted her boyfriend by punching him in the chest. She was arrested and charged with assault.
