Two Persons Arrested after Disturbance at Local Hotel At approximately 1:22 am this morning officers were dispatched to a local hotel with regards to a disturbance going on in one of the rooms and windows being smashed.
Two Persons Arrested after Disturbance at Local Hotel
At approximately 1:22 am this morning officers were dispatched to a local hotel with regards to a disturbance going on in one of the rooms and windows being smashed. Officers attended and found a 17 year-old female out of control in the office area and learned that she had just smashed a number of windows in one of the rooms and a storm door window in the main office.

Officers took her into custody and upon further investigation learned that she had been involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend inside the room prior to their arrival and that another male in the room that attempted to intervene had a knife held to his throat by the boyfriend. The 21 year-old boyfriend was also taken into custody.

It is further alleged that when the female accused was inside the rear of the cruiser she caused damage to the retaining medium and the door and attempted to flee. Once at the station, she spit on one of the officers. As a result, the female accused was charged with three counts of mischief, one count of assault peace officer, one count of escape lawful custody and one count of breach of probation. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

The male was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation. At the time of the incident the accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was on conditions of a probation order not to consume any alcohol and was to also to keep the peace and be good.

Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning
Officers arrested a 26 year-old male wanted on a domestic related warrant at 1:45 am this morning at the station and charged him with two counts of assault, one count of break and enter and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 31st of January the accused broke into his ex-girlfriend’s residence, assaulted her and threatened to kill her.

Officers arrested a 17 year-old male at 6:45 pm last night at his residence and charge him with one count of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 10th of February the accused got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend at his residence, assaulted her and threatened to kill her.

Impaired Driver Arrested
Officers arrested 25 year-old Mitchell Waite of 21 St. Basil’s Drive at 4:14 am this morning and charged him with one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 11th of February at 4:11 am officers stopped a Chevrolet Cavalier on Bruce Street and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused failed the roadside screening device test and was subsequently arrested. He is to appear in court on the 14th of March.

Females Wanted on Outstanding Assault Charges Arrested
Officers arrested two 16 year-old females last evening in relation to an incident that took place on the 25th of January when they assaulted a female while at a gathering at an east end residence. The female victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault. They were both charged with one count of assault in relation to this incident. One of the females was also charged with uttering a forged document in relation to an incident that took place on the 11th of January at a local drug store when she produced a forged a prescription for oxycodone. Both are attending in court on the 15th of March.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers arrested 24 year-old Justin Whalen of #1-105 Wellington Street East on an outstanding warrant at 1:15 pm yesterday. He has been charged with one count of fail to appear court in relation to a shoplifting charge. He is to appear in court on the 21st of March.
