Male arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking:
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged that on December 23rd 2011 members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team and the Emergency Services Unit executed a drug search warrant at the accused person’s residence, an apartment in the 600 block of MacDonald Ave. Upon execution of the warrant officers located 190 grams of marihuana in individual packages. The accused was not home when officers executed the warrant and as a result he was arrested yesterday. The street value of the drugs seized is
$ 3820.00
Dylan McMillan, age 22, of 602 MacDonald Ave Apt # 110 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance. Mr. McMillan is to appear in court on February 6th 2012 at 9:00 am.
Male arrested for break and enter and sexual assault:
Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested an 80-year-old male for break and enter, sexual assault and indecent exposure. It is alleged that yesterday evening the accused broke into the victim’s apartment and exposed himself to the victim. It is further alleged that the accused then grabbed the victim for a sexual purpose. The victim broke free of the accused and called police. The victim knew the accused and directed officers to his residence. The accused an 80-year-old male is charged with one count of sexual assault, one count of break and enter and one count of indecent exposure. The accused is to appear in court on February 6th at 9:00 am.
Two persons to appear in bail court:
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, the Emergency Services Unit and the O.P.P. Canine Unit executed a warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Pim St. As a result of the search two males were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of a substance. It is alleged that the two males were growing marihuana and had possession of 100 ecstasy tablets. Arresting officers seized 6 marihuana plants, 168 grams of marihuana and 100 ecstasy pills. The estimated street value of the drugs is $ 10,360.00.
Daniel Stevenson – Hache, age 19, of 120 Pim St. Apt # 1 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of production of a controlled substance.
James McLeod- Hache, age 21, of 120 Pim St. Apt # 1 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of production of a controlled substance.
Mr. McLeod- Hache was further charged with one count failing to appear for the purpose of identification, on December 12th 201, and one count of breach of probation.
Property crimes:
Break and enter:
A residence in the 500 block of Wellington St. W. was entered. Money was reported stolen.
Mischief:
City police received two reports of vehicles being damaged.
Vehicles were damaged in the 100 block of Queen St. E. and the 100 block of Pentagon Blvd.
Theft:
A 2003 yellow dodge van was stolen from the 100 block of Pine St.
A purse was stolen from the Marconi Club, 450 Albert St. W. Suspect is described as: male, short – possibly 5’, wearing a grey jacket and black pants. The suspect was carrying a backpack as well.
Two vehicles were reported entered. Electronics were stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Goulais Ave.
Medication, a purse and personal identification were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Bloor St.
