This morning at 12:40, police responded to an assault. It is alleged that Brian Keith Marion, age 29, of 14 Woodward Street, Apt #4, Blind River, along with three other males, assaulted Daniel Sutherland on Gore Street.

This morning at 12:40, police responded to an assault. It is alleged that Brian Keith Marion, age 29, of 14 Woodward Street, Apt #4, Blind River, along with three other males, assaulted Daniel Sutherland on Gore Street. The victim suffered head and facial injuries and was treated at hospital. Marion was arrested by police and began kicking the police cruiser on the way to the station causing about $800 in damages. Marion has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and mischief under $5,000.

At about 2:19 this morning, city police officers J. Novitski and C. MacKnight arrested Michael Stewart Agawa, age 38, of 49 Hill Street, for being intoxicated in a public place. While trying to place the accused in the police car, Agawa started to fight with police officers and punched Constable MacKnight in the eye. Agawa was subdued, taken to the police station, and charged with being intoxicated in a public place and assaulting a police officer. He will appear in court on Feb. 4.
