Break and Enters Yesterday morning just after 4 am City Police attended in the 100 block of Grosvenor Crescent in regards to a caller reporting 3 males were trying to break into their home.

Yesterday morning just after 4 am City Police attended in the 100 block of Grosvenor Crescent in regards to a caller reporting 3 males were trying to break into their home. It is alleged that the males banged on the screen door and also tore the screen and damaged the door. Officers located the male suspects shortly after the incident.

21-year old Nathan Ethridge of 107-35 Princess Crescent has been charged with one count of attempt break and enter to commit an offence,

19-year old Matthew Wilson of 305-135 Cambridge Place has been charged with one count of attempt break and enter and one count of breach of probation,

24-year old Jacob Carter of 305-135 Cambridge Place has been charged with one count of attempt break and enter to commit an offence and one count of breach of probation.

Yesterday morning just after 11 am City Police took a report of break and enter to a home in the 100 block of Second Line West. It is alleged that sometime between the 24th and the 28th of November the home was entered and a wallet was stolen.

Last night just after 10 pm City Police attended in the 100 block of Trelawne Avenue for a break and enter. Thieves broke into a residence but is does not appear that anything was taken at this time.

Domestic Assault

Yesterday morning just after 5a m City Police attended at a downtown residence for a domestic assault call. It is alleged that a 22-year old male assaulted his common law wife after they got into an argument. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim by throwing her onto the bed, holding her down, choking her and covering her mouth with his hand. The victim attempted to leave 2 or 3 times but the accused allegedly threw her back on the bed each time she tried to leave. During an interview the victim disclosed information on a prior assault that had occurred 5 days ago, where the accused allegedly pushed the victim down during an argument. The male was arrested just before 7 am yesterday morning. He has been charged with 2 counts of assault and one count of forcible confinement.


Breach of a Release Orders

23-year old Darrell Saunders of 540 Queen Street West was arrested last evening and charged with one count of breach of a release order and 2 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused failed to notify a change of address as specified on his release document. The breach of probation stems from a condition of keep the peace and be good, as well as an earlier breach of failing to abide by a curfew.


Yesterday afternoon City Police arrested 40-year old Annette Buczel of no fixed address and charged her with one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that the accused attended at a centrally address that she was on a release order to stay away from. Officers attended at the address and also learned that the accused was wanted on warrants for failing to failing to appear in court in relation to one count of assault and one count of theft under from an incident in November of last year.

Breach of Probation

An 18-year old person was arrested last evening and charged with one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). It is alleged that between the 1st of October and the 29th of November the accused threatened to harm the male victim during a phone conversation. Due to the YCJA charge the name of the 18-year old cannot be released.

Breach of a Release Order

25-year old Allen Waboose of 166 South Market Street was arrested last evening around 10 pm and charged with 2 counts of breach of a release order and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that one the 29th of November the accused was not in his residence during the hours specified on a release order. When officers located the accused last night he was under the influence of alcohol, which was a breach of another condition on a release order. The accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.


Mischief Charges Laid Against Youth

A 16-year old youth has been charged with two counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of assault, one count of breach of probation and two counts of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that yesterday the accused threatened two staff members in the group home where the accused resides. It is further alleged that the accused assaulted one of the staff by raising his/her fist and threatening the staff member. It if further alleged that the accused then began to punch and head butt several items in the home as well as destroying the decorations on the Christmas tree. It is further alleged that the accused kicked the front door several time causing the frame to break and the inside wall to crack. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation.

Youth Charged with Possession

A 17-year old youth was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of breach of a release order and one count of possession of a controlled or substance. The youth was on release orders with conditions to notify a change of address as well as failing to reside with their surety as specified on the release order. When the youth was arrested officers located approximately 0.5grams of marijuana on the accused. The accused will appear in court on January 3rd, 2006.
