Two Taken Into Custody Subsequent To Arrest Warrant 33-year-old Shawn Edward Blais of 84 Central Street and 35-year-old Mandi Lee Klages of 95 Goulais Avenue Unit #1 were both arrested on the 27th of August 2010 at 6:40 a.m.
Two Taken Into Custody Subsequent To Arrest Warrant
33-year-old Shawn Edward Blais of 84 Central Street and 35-year-old Mandi Lee Klages of 95 Goulais Avenue Unit #1 were both arrested on the 27th of August 2010 at 6:40 a.m. at the accused Klages residence. It is alleged that on the 26th of August 2010 at 11:00 p.m. the accused Blais forced his way into a residence on Goulais Avenue and there in threatened to kill several persons known to him. Officers from Patrol Services and members of the Emergency Services Unit subsequently executed an arrest warrant at 95 Goulais Avenue Unit #1. The accused Blais was arrested and charged for break and enter and threatening. The accused Klages was arrested because she had been wanted in connection to an incident that occurred on the 15th of June 2010 where she had allegedly stolen a bank card from a female known to her and withdrew a quantity of cash. She was charged with theft. The accused Blais was sent to bail court while the accused Klages was released with a court date of the 27th of September 2010.

Three Persons For Bail Court
A 26-year-old male was arrested on the 27th of August 2010 at 1:50 a.m. subsequent to a domestic incident. It is alleged that the accused punched his 21-year-old wife and threatened to kill her. He has been charged with assault and threatening death. The victim received minor injuries that did not require medical attention at the time.

A 30-year-old male from Toronto was arrested on the 26th of August 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Greyhound Bus Terminal at 73 Brock Street as a result of an outstanding warrant for a domestic assault that is held by this service.

41-year-old Mary Louise Esquib of 452 Skead Road in Garson Ontario was arrested on the 26th of August 2010 by members of the Sudbury Police Service and turned over to officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Local officers attended the Blind River Ontario Provincial Police Station at 3:10 p.m. to take custody of the accused. She was wanted by this service for several outstanding warrants including failing to attend court, assault and mischief.

Fail To Attend For Prints
56-year-old Linda Karchie of 285 Cathcart Street was arrested on the 26th of August 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre (800 Great Northern Road) subsequent to an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for finger prints. She was given a court date of the 27th of September.

Break And Enters
- 3 dirt bikes were stolen from a shed on Letcher Street
- A television was taken from a residence in the 100 block of John Street
- 2 televisions were stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Placid Avenue
- Jewellery was taken from a residence in the 300 block of Patrick Street
- A business in the 300 block of Queen Street East was broken into. Nothing appears to have been taken

Mischief And Theft From Vehicles
A vehicle had a window smashed in a parking lot in the 600 block of Queen Street East and on Canal Drive. A vehicle was also damaged in the 400 block of Queen Street East.
Vehicles were entered in:
- a parking lot in the 200 block of Queen Street East (a GPS unit and DVD screens were stolen)
- the 100 block of Queen Street East (unknown if anything was taken)
- on Hugill Street (computer hard drives and change were stolen)
- the 200 block of McGregor Avenue (a wallet and change were stolen)
- on Val Street (a GPS unit was stolen)
- the 200 block of Prentice Avenue (a window was smashed and a make up bag stolen)
- the 600 block of Shafer Avenue (a purse was stolen)
- the 400 block of Bush Street (a purse was stolen)

A glass panel to a bus shelter on West Street at Queen Street West was broken.

Motor Vehicle Collision
36-year-old Michael Price of 82 Lower Island Lake Road was issued a summons under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario subsequent to a motor vehicle collision that he was involved in on the 26th of August 2010 at 9:26 p.m. At that time it is alleged that the accused was driving his car south on Black Road and struck the rear of another vehicle that was turning east onto McNabb Street. He was charged with following too closely. Neither the accused nor the 61-year-old driver of the other car sustained any reported injuries at the time as a result of the collision. Damage to the accused vehicle was reported as moderate while damage to the other vehicle was light.
