On August 21, 2015 at 7:40am officers from the Technological Crime Unit and Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant on a west end residence.

On August 21, 2015 at 7:40am officers from the Technological Crime Unit and Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant on a west end residence. The warrant was in relation to a child pornography investigation that has been going on since 2014. Located in the search was a cellular telephone, a sawed off shot gun and a small amount of marihuana. The 53 year old accused male has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carless storage of a firearm, and possession of a controlled drug. The accused will appear in bail court on August 22.

On August 21, 2015 at 10:00am 18 year old Arian Luzzi of Carufel Av. was arrested by Sault Ste Marie Police for theft under $5000. It is alleged the accused attended a downtown store where she selected various food item valued at $66.66 and exited the store making no attempt to pay. The accused was arrested by store security and police were called. The accused will appear in court on September 28. 

On August 21, 2015 at 10:50am 21 year old Amber Wilson-Vincent of Ferguson Av was arrested by police for being in possession of stolen property. It is alleged that the accused attended a local pawn shop and pawned a Morgan U.S. dollar and 3 silver coins that had been reported stolen from an earlier break and enter into a residence. The accused will appear in court on September 28.

On August 21, 2015 at 2:50pm 21 year old Tyler Moises of Champlain St was arrested by police. It is alleged that the accused was in possession of the rear end assembly from a half ton truck and 2 chrome rims with tires that had been stolen from a local car dealer.  This was valued at $5,355. The headlights on the truck in the accused possession were also reported stolen from another theft and valued at $150. The accused has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000 and breaching a probation order that he was on. The accused will appear in court on September 28.

At 6 p.m. on August 20, 2015, city police located and arrested Dylan Daigle, who was profiled this week on “Wanted Wednesday” on two outstanding warrants. Daigle is being charged with theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach of probation. He will be appearing in bail court on August 21, 2015 at 10 a.m.

At 5:30 p.m. on August 20, 2015, city police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the corner of Dryden Avenue and Asquith. One of the drivers involved in the collision fled the scene. One person in the other motor vehicle attended the hospital for treatment for minor injuries. A subsequent investigation managed to identify the driver that fled. At 9:50 p.m. on August 20, 2015 city police arrested and charged Gregory Thomas Charrette, age 23 of Korah Road, with dangerous driving, failing to remain and theft under $5,000. He will be appearing in court on September 28, 2015.

Just after 1 a.m. on August 21, 2015, city police were called to a residence on Boehmer Blvd and arrested 37-year-old John Rocher of Lothian Avenue and 29-year-old Jesse Cook of Albert Street West. It’s alleged that the home owner confronted one male who was inside the residence and another outside. Rocher was charged with trespass by night, and Cook was charged with break and enter with intent and trespass by night. Both will be appearing in court on September 28, 2015.

At 3:05 a.m. city police arrested a 32-year-old for a domestic related sexual assault, assault and threatening. It’s alleged that the incidents took place between April 2014 and August 6, 2015. The victim sustained no significant injuries from the incidents. The male is the common law spouse. He will be appearing in Bail Court on August 21, 2015.
