ANOTHER DRUG BUST

26 year-old Sherri-Lynne Mills of 774 Pine Street has been arrested and charged in regards to the Joint Forces Drug Unit seizure on Wednesday April 28th. Ms. Mills was arrested at 1:30 pm and charged with production of a controlled substance, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance (cannabis resin) and possession of a controlled substance (Ecstasy pills). Ms. Mills is scheduled to appear in court on June 7th.

YOUNG OFFENDER BREACHES PROBATION

A young offender was charged with mischief and breach of probation as a result of an April 18th incident in which a door window was broken at the Olympic Coin and Laundromat on Korah Road. The incident is alleged to have occurred at 3:30 in the morning. The young person who is set to appear in court on June 1st was on a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

PUNCH DOES; NOW FACES ASSAULT CHARGE

Reginald Punch age 58 of 370 Pine Street was arrested and charged last night following an incident in the 600 block of Wellington Street East. Punch is alleged to have struck a female when leaving that address. Mr. Punch was arrested at 10:30 pm and is scheduled to appear in court on May 31st on an assault charge. No injuries were reported.

SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DRIVING

24 year-old Wesley Alkins of 827 Wellington Street East was arrested and charged with impaired driving and over 80mg at approximately 12:50 this morning. Alkins is alleged to have been driving in an erratic manner while traveling north on Great Northern Road prior to being stopped by patrol officers. Mr. Alkins is scheduled to appear in court on May 31st.

RESIDENTIAL BREAK-INS

2 residential break-ins were reported yesterday. The first was reported to a residence in the 200 block of Second Avenue. After entry was gained to the residence the culprit took a laptop computer, a DVD player a Sony digital camera along with the owners wallet. It appears that the culprit then left the area on a bicycle.

The second break and enter was reported to a residence on St. Andrews Terrace. Reported taken from the house was a mountain bike valued at $600, a small amount of jewelry and a Sony camcorder. These break and enters are currently under investigation.
