9-1-1 Call
Early this morning just before 6am City Police responded to a 911 call in regards to a domestic situation. Upon arriving at the down town residence police found a 33-year-old male had been breaching his release documents by being at the residence of his ex-girlfriend. During the investigation officers concluded that the male had assaulted the female by hitting her several times. The accused has been charged with 1 count of Assault and 6 counts of Breach of Release Document. He will be appearing in bail court this morning. The female in this incident did not require medical attention.
Assault On Mother & Child
On the 27th of April, at approximately 2:30 pm, 19-year-old Jordan Lyn Quinton (female) attended a west end residence and assaulted a female and her child. The victims were known to the accused. It is alleged that the accused attended the west end residence and entered without permission. Jordan Quinton did then assault the adult victim by punching her in the face and scratching her with her rings. The accused then proceeded to assault the victim’s infant child by punching the child on the side of the head. Before leaving the accused threatened to further harm the victim. Police were called to investigate. The mother suffered scratches and bruising to her face. Both the mother and the child did not require any medical attention. The accused Jordan Lyn Quinton was arrested a short time later in front of her residence at 289 Third Avenue. Jordan Quinton has been charged with 2 counts of Assault, 1 count of Break and Enter, and 1 count of Threatening Bodily Harm. She is to appear in court the 29th of May.
Woman Assaults Estranged Husband
A 35-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting her estranged husband. It is alleged that on the 27tth of April the accused attended her husbands west end residence at approximately 7:30 am and assaulted him by punching him the face and pulling his hair out. Police were called and the female was arrested at the residence. She was charged with 1 count of assault and is to appear in court the 31st of May.
Theft From L.C.B.O.
53-year-old John Edward Alexander of 264 Alexandra Street was arrested yesterday evening after attending the LCBO on Bay Street. It’s believed that the accused attended the LCBO in an intoxicated state and stole 2 bottles of Bacardi Rum. Mr. Alexander was observed running east on Queen Street East by mall security and was arrested a short time late on Bingham Street. The accused has been charged with 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and is to appear in court today.
