17 Year Old Male arrested for Sexual Assault Today just after 10:00 a.m. officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year old male and charged him with five counts of sexual assault.

17 Year Old Male arrested for Sexual Assault

Today just after 10:00 a.m. officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year old male and charged him with five counts of sexual assault.  It is alleged that between the 1st of April and the 17th of April of this year, the accused sexually assaulted 5 female victims by deliberately reaching out and touching them for a sexual purpose as he walked by them.   The accused will appear in court on May28th of this year.

Update: Mr. Sub Break and Enter

Officers with the Patrol Services Section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have arrested three males in relation to a break and enter that occurred just after 3:30 a.m. at the Mr. Sub restaurant at 255 Trunk Road.  Officers observed the front window of the restaurant to be broken and two of the accused inside the restaurant.  A third accused was discovered in what was later found to be a stolen Dodge Caravan.  All three males were taken into custody and as a result of the investigation, 25 year old Adam Black of 23 Arizona Street, 22year old Michael Leclair of No Fixed Address, and 29 year old Michael Bjornaa of 28 Hughes Street are all facing one charge of break and enter with intent and one charge of possession of property obtained by crime.  At the time of this incident it is alleged that, Mr. Bjornna had a crowbar in his possession and that Mr. Black had a hammer, vice grips, crowbar, chisel, screwdriver and spark plug wrench.  They were both additionally charged with of possession of break in instruments.  It was also found that Mr. Leclair was wanted in relation to an incident on April 22nd where it alleged that he went to the residence of a person known to him in the 100 block of Birch Street and broke two windows.  He is facing one additional charge of mischief and one count of breach of probation.  All three will appear in bail court today.

Earlier release:

Three males are in custody after alert citizens called police after hearing an audible alarm at Mr. Sub on Trunk Road at approximately 03:37 this morning.  Three males were observed inside the business and arrested after a short footchase.  A stolen vehicle was also recovered at the scene.  Additional information will be released once the investigation is complete.

On Thursday 25Apr13 at 21:10 hours, Sault Ste. Marie Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart, 293 Bay Street.  Chad Tucker, age 39 of 233 Selby Rd has been charged with theft and 2 counts of breach of probation.  It is alleged that the accused selected $100.00 of razors, removed them from the packaging and concealed them in his jacket.  The accused then left the store without paying.  The accused was arrested by store security outside the store.  The accused is onprobation with conditions to remain away from Walmart, Sault Ste. Marie and to keep the peace and be good .  As a result, the accused was charged with theft under $5000.00, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation X 2.  He will appear in court on 27 May 2013.

25 year old Adam Black of 23 Arizona Avenue was arrested and charged with theft .On the 25Apr13 at approximately 7 p.m. the accused stole 2 bottles of liquor from the LCBO store at 293 Bay Street, Station Mall.  When arrested he had the bottles of alcohol on his possession. A second female accused, unidentified, grabbed one bottle and ran off with it.  He will appear in court on 27 May 2013.
