John William Massicotte, age 19 of 17 Boston Avenue was arrested in regards to outstanding arrest warrants. The charges of Fail to appear for court and failing to appear for fingerprints are alleged to have taken place in October of last year. Massicotte is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.

Youth arrested at school

A young offender was arrested at 2:05 pm yesterday for uttering threats to cause bodily harm. It was also learned by patrol officers that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to attend court on November 25thof 2003. The youth was arrested at school where the threats were directed towards a member of the faculty. The young person is scheduled to appear in court on May 4th.

Alleged death threats in domestic disputes

A 48 year-old local man will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested and charged in 3 separate domestic incidents involving the same victim. On December 23rd, 2003 the accused is alleged to have threatened the victim with death and also assaulted the victim by grabbing and throwing the victim into a snow bank. Then on February 10th, 2004 the accused assaulted the victim by grabbing and pinning the victim against a wall. On April 1st the accused is alleged to have gone to the residence of the victim and threatened the victim with death. The accused faces 2 counts of assault and 2 counts of threatening death.

Domestic assault

A domestic incident this morning resulted in a 41 year-old man being charged with assault. It s alleged that the accused man grabbed the victim by the neck and then shook and pushed the victim to the ground. The victim is known to the accused. The accused male will appear in court on May 10th.

B&E’s on Beverly and James Sts.

A break and enter was reported yesterday to a garage of a residence in the 200 block of Beverly Street. The garage was entered overnight and reported taken were some tools and frozen food after thieves forced their way into the garage.

Another break-in was reported to an apartment on James Street. It is believed that the apartment was entered on Wednesday afternoon at which time a large amount of cash was taken. There were signs of forced entry to the apartment.

Michigan man runs red light

A 2-vehicle collision at the Huron and Albert Street intersection left the 2 drivers with minimal injuries and 1 driver charged. The vehicle being driven by 22 year-old James Cook of Kincheloe Michigan is reported to have been traveling south on Huron Street when he proceeded through a red light and struck an east bound vehicle being driven by 37 year-old Norah Hall of Sault Ste. Marie.

The Cook vehicle sustained severe damage while the Hall vehicle received a moderate amount of damage. Mr. Cook is charged with red light – fail to stop under the Highway Traffic Act
