On April 16, 2015 at 9 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Drug Enforcement Unit along with plain clothes patrol officers observed a male and female in a vehicle on Borron Street acting suspicious.

On April 16, 2015 at 9 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Drug Enforcement Unit along with plain clothes patrol officers observed a male and female in a vehicle on Borron Street acting suspicious. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the two persons were in possession and using fentanyl. Both person were arrested and when searched the female was also found to be in possession of 8 grams of marijuana.

55-year-old Murray Dick of Salisbury Avenue has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and will appear in court on May 25. 29-year-old Melanie Agawa of Willow Avenue has been charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled drug and will also appear in court on May 25.

On April 17, 2015 Sault Ste Marie Police officers attended a Northern Avenue apartment building after receiving complaints about the noise of people fighting coming from one of the apartments. Police eventually gained access to the accused’s apartment, 23-year-old Adrian Marcel and while investigating the complaint observed a small amount of marijuana on a table. The accused was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug and will appear in court on May 25.
