On Friday April 10, 2015 officers with Investigation Services located and arrested 75 year old Rosann SPENCER of 14 Atwater St and charged her with Fraud over $5000, unauthorized use of a credit card and Theft over $5000.

On Friday April 10, 2015 officers with Investigation Services located and arrested 75 year old Rosann SPENCER of 14 Atwater St and charged her with Fraud over $5000, unauthorized use of a credit card and Theft over $5000.  It is alleged that between September 2011 and October 2014 SPENCER deceived an elderly person known to her and committed cheque frauds totaling over $15,000.  It is also alleged that during that time SPENCER also used the victim’s bankcard and stole approximately $90,000 from her chequing and savings account. She will be appearing in court May 11, 2015.

On April 10, 2015, 19yr old Tyler Ralph was arrested on an outstanding warrant for breaching conditions of his probation order.  It is alleged he failed to report as required by his supervising probation officer. He will be appearing in court May 11, 2015.

On April 10, 2015, members of the Crime Suppression Unit arrested and charged 27yr old Justin MCKAY with possession of property obtained by crime.  It is alleged the accused pawned items at a local pawn shop which had been stolen from Canadian Tire and Tool Town.  Local pawn shop operators routinely share information with police regarding stolen property and those who attempt to pawn it. He will be appearing in court May 11, 2015.

On April 10, 2015 24 yr old Shane AGAWA was arrested by patrol officers.  Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the central part of the city and found AGAWA to be breaching conditions of his court ordered release. He will be appearing in Bail Court Monday April 13, 2015.

A 16yr old youth attended the Sault Ste. Marie Police Station today and turned himself in on outstanding warrants for his arrest.  It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of his release by failing to reside with his surety as required by a Recognizance. He will be appearing in Bail Court Monday April 13, 2015

Early this morning, city police officers attended to a disturbance at a residence on Maple Street. The disturbance was related to a 47-year-old male and his spouse, and further investigation revealed that the male was on several domestic-related conditions regarding his spouse. As a result, the accused was charged with 4 counts of breaching a probation order dealing with failing to stay away from the victim, her residence and not having any communication with the victim, as well as failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He will be appearing in Bail Court April 10.
