Extraction required at two vehicle collision on Queen Street East (4 photos)

Police have blocked off Queen Street beginning at March Street

At around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a black truck and a red SUV at the intersection of Queen Street East and Elgin Street.

The SUV took severe damage to its left side, while the truck had minor damages to its front end.

The cause of the accident is unknown, but clues at the scene suggest the SUV was T-boned while crossing the intersection.

A 75-year-old female was confirmed to be driving the SUV, and an extrication was required to remove her from the cabin of the vehicle.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Police have blocked off Queen Street East beginning at March Street as they clear the scene.
