On June 9, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 23-year-old Mackenzie Atchison for impaired driving.
At 1:46 p.m. police received a call of a driver asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the 0-100 block of Allard Street. Upon arrival officers located the accused behind the wheel asleep. Officers woke up the accused and at this time developed grounds to believe his ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by drugs.
The accused was given a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and performed poorly. He was arrested and later given a Drug Recognition Evaluation in which he performed poorly.
He is charged with impaired driving alcohol and drugs and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 20, 2020.
