On June 17, 2020, officers with Patrol Services arrested 29-year-old William Agapinos for impaired driving alcohol and drugs.

At 2:44 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving on North Street and learned it had a temporary permit which had expired. Police conducted a traffic stop and upon approaching the vehicle detected a smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle. Officers developed grounds to believe the accused’s ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by drugs.

The accused completed a standard field sobriety test and performed poorly. He was arrested and later given a drug recognition evaluation which he performed poorly on. He is charged with impaired driving alcohol and drugs, driving while under suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 12, 2020.
