An increased presence at the Bellevue Marina this morning is nothing to be alarmed about, but police are still asking the public to avoid the area.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, along with Sault Fire Services and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, are conducting a training exercise in the area today.
The training began around 10 a.m. this morning.
As a result, an increased emergency services presence will be noticeable in the area of the marina as well as on Pine Street.
The training will use a drone to drop a flotation device into the river in order to practice water rescues.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
