Firefighters rescued a dog from a house on fire in Sault Ste. Marie late Wednesday afternoon.

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews responded to the 500 block of Placid Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. on March 12.

They say the fire started in the kitchen.
