June 30 1:40 p.m. update:
Yesterday around 6:30 p.m. officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Boundary Road and Bennett Boulevard. Upon further investigation it was determined a vehicle travelling southbound on Boundary Road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle travelling westbound on Bennett Boulevard.
Following the initial collision, the first vehicle ended up reversing into a hydro pole.
The driver of the vehicle which initiated the collision was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 45-year-old man who was driving was charged with careless driving and fail to stop at a stop sign under the Highway Traffic Act.

Sault police, fire services and PUC are at the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Boundary Road and Bennett Boulevard.
At approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday, it appeared a grey Nissan SUV collided with a utility pole. The utility pole was down, laying behind the SUV.
There was also minimal damage to a black Hyundai SUV. Traffic at the intersection was not blocked, but moving slowly.
It is not known if there were any injuries as a result of the collision.
Sault police told SooToday the collision is under investigation and the cause is unknown at this time.
