Motorists beware! Albert Street was closed at Bruce Street tonight due to a downed power line.

Police vehicles were blocking a section of the one-way west-bound street.

A PUC vehicle arrived on scene shortly after 5 p.m.

The issue appeared to be causing traffic headaches as fans headed home after the Soo Greyhounds game downtown as of around 4:50 p.m.

It was unclear if the situation was affecting residents on the street. As of 5:15 p.m., the PUC's outage map showed no current outages in the Sault.

SooToday will provide more information when it becomes available.
