SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Feb. 8, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23-year-old Derek Battagin of James Street with regards to a break and enter.
It is alleged that at 6 a.m. the accused broke into the garage of a residence in the 200 block of Albert Street West.
Officers were able to respond quickly and the accused was observed fleeing the scene. The accused was located after a short foot chase and taken into custody.
Mr. Battagin was charged with one count of break and enter and was held for bail court.
