Black Road crash leads to impaired charge

A 52-year-old driver is facing impaired charges after a single-vehicle crash on on Thursday.

Around 5 p.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a crash on Black Road.

Police say that, after speaking with the drivers, they developed grounds to believe the driver was impaired.

The driver was arrested and later provided two breath samples registering a result over the legal limit.

Maria Kudyba has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and/or drug and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80+).
